DOUGAL

Dougal is a wonderfully easy-going, laid-back Sheepadoodle with a heart of gold! This approximately 2-year-old, 75 lb charmer is so mellow that his foster family often forgets he's around. Dougal enjoys lounging inside in the air conditioning during the hottest part of the day but comes alive in the cooler late afternoon to play with his buddies, enjoy a chew treat, and enthusiastically chase squirrels. He seems to be well-versed in house and leash manners, though he does require a firm hand on the leash as he can pull. Dougal tested positive for heartworms but has successfully completed treatment according to the American Heartworm Society protocols.

Ideal Home

Dougal would love a home with a fully fenced and secure yard where he can safely play and explore. He is not suited for a home with children under the age of 8.

Ongoing Health

Dougal has completed treatment for heartworms. We anticipate he will test negative within 4 to 6 months.

Training & Support

Dougal is generally well-behaved and house-trained. He needs a bit of work on leash pulling, requiring a strong handler.
