Meet Juice, a handsome 4-year-old, 56 lb Black Mouth Cur mix with the most soulful eyes you’ve ever seen! Juice, also known as Joey to his foster family, is a sweet and charming boy who is ready to find his forever home. He’s been through a lot, but his heart is full of love and he’s just looking for a calm, loving place to call his own. Juice loves to cuddle and play with his toys, but his absolute favorite thing is to simply be near his person. He shows his affection by resting his head and paw on your arm, a quiet gesture of love that melts the heart. He can be a bit shy and wary around new people, but with slow, gentle introductions, he builds trust and becomes incredibly loyal and devoted.
Ideal Home
Juice would thrive in a quiet home with soft-spoken, patient adults who understand that healing takes time. He needs a home where he can soak up all the attention as the only dog and a cat-free environment.
Ongoing Health
Juice is a healthy boy, though he has shown some food aggression with other dogs, which has been managed by feeding him separately in his crate. He may still guard high-value treats, but this is easily managed by respecting his boundaries.
Training & Support
Juice pulls on the leash when excited and is working on this. He responds best to patience and kindness, as harsh corrections can make him cower. He is always crated when left alone due to his love for chewing and has had some potty accidents. He sleeps well in his crate through the night.
