Vanna

Meet Vanna, an approximately 4-year-old German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her personality! Vanna is a affectionate and playful "velcro dog" who thrives on being close to her people. She loves a good game of fetch and going for walks, and she's a fantastic car companion, making her ready for any adventure. At home, she's trusted to roam freely and is a respectful housemate, content to simply be near her favorite humans.

Ideal Home

Vanna would thrive in an active home that can provide her with structure, reassurance, and plenty of affection. She's best suited as the only dog in the home, though she may do well with very well-matched, larger dogs (around 90 lbs or more) if there are no resource guarding concerns. She is good with dog-savvy cats! While she hasn't been around children yet, she may do well with older children (12+) who can respect her space and boundaries. She has no issues with stairs and settles nicely into a home routine.

Ongoing Health

Vanna has experienced significant trauma and is actively working through some challenges. She has some resource guarding issues with food, toys, and people.

Training & Support

Vanna needs continued support with leash manners and is still polishing up her potty training, with occasional accidents. She is crate trained. With patience, consistency, and understanding, Vanna has so much potential to continue growing.

Transporation

Vanna is currently located at a foster home. Transports run every few weeks and she will be on the next available transport once approved.
