Luna

Luna is a sweet, energetic, eager-to-please 6-year-old spayed female Australian Cattle Dog Mix weighing 39 pounds. She is a wonderful hiking and couch companion who warms up quickly and enjoys relaxing at home.

Ideal Home

Luna is very good with dogs of all sizes and types, though she can be hesitant at first. She has calmly enjoyed gentle interaction with children. She has not been tested with cats and is driven to chase small animals, so a cat-free home is likely best.

She would enjoy a home that can provide yard playtime and two daily walks. She has medium to high energy, enjoys hiking, and is also happy to relax indoors.

Ongoing Health

Luna has Addison’s disease, which is successfully managed with a daily low-dose steroid medication and a monthly injection.

Training & Support

Luna knows basic commands and is very trainable for additional commands and tricks. She is potty trained, does not need to be crated, rides well in a car, and may bark when someone comes to the door or when communicating with dog friends.
