About Honey

Honey never expected to be looking for a new home at this stage of her life. For the past several years, she lived with a devoted owner who loved and cared for her deeply. We have known Honey and her family for more than three years and can confidently say that she has been exceptionally well cared for throughout her life. Sadly, Honey's owner passed away unexpectedly, leaving her and her sister, Suki, in need of a new family. Their relatives would love to keep them, but are unfortunately unable to do so.

The good news is that Honey is healthy, active, and ready for many more adventures. At 11 years old, she still enjoys an active lifestyle, has no mobility concerns, and continues to approach life with the enthusiasm and joy of a much younger dog. Honey shares a close bond with her sister, Suki. We would love to see them adopted together if possible, but our highest priority is finding each dog a loving home. To help keep them together, adopters who welcome both Honey and Suki into their family will pay only a single adoption fee. Honey is exactly the kind of dog people picture when they think of a classic Labrador Retriever: friendly, happy, easygoing, and always ready to have fun. She loves spending time with people and greets life with a cheerful attitude and a wagging tail. Honey enjoys walks, adventures, swimming, playtime, and simply being included in whatever her family is doing. She has excellent manners, walks nicely on a leash, and has basic obedience training. One of Honey's most charming qualities is her playful spirit. Even at 11 years old, she still enjoys having fun and seems to have a sense of humor all her own. She is the kind of dog who can accompany you on an outing one minute and relax comfortably at your feet the next. Honey would make a wonderful companion for just about any family looking for a loving, well-behaved dog who is past the puppy stage but still has plenty of life and adventure ahead of her. Don't let the number fool you, Honey may be 11 years old, but she still has plenty of energy and love to give.
