Lazarus 'Laz'

Lazarus, or 'Laz' as we call him, is a handsome pup who joined us in February 2025. He and his littermate, Otis, were rescued from a difficult situation. While his siblings have all found their forever homes, Laz is still waiting for his special person. Laz is a wonderful dog, but like many who haven't had the best start, he can be a little hesitant around new people. He's a bit wary of strangers, but with a little patience and a few tasty treats, he always comes around and shows his true, sweet nature! Laz has been working hard on his confidence in foster care. He's completed a tricks class and regularly attends daycare to hone his social skills, and he's making fantastic progress!

Ideal Home

Laz is searching for a dog-savvy adopter who understands that building trust takes time. He would thrive in a quieter home with low foot traffic. He could do well with a calm, neutral dog of a similar or larger size, or as the sole furry companion. Laz should not be placed in a home with cats, as he has a strong prey drive and will chase them.

Training & Support

Laz can be fearful and unsure of new people due to past experiences. He needs an adopter committed to continuing his training and building trust. His attendance at daycare and completion of a tricks class are great steps he's already taken.
