Panda

Panda is a 2-year-old female Rottweiler/Border Collie mix with a heart full of potential! She was adopted as a young pup and, unfortunately, her less-than-ideal behaviors weren't quite managed, leading to some insecurity and entitlement. Thankfully, since returning to us at 2 years old, Panda has blossomed with consistent structure and calm, assertive leadership. She's a social butterfly with other dogs, enjoying playful romps with pups of all sizes and ages, and knows when to be gentle or when to get a little rowdy. She absolutely loves to chew on bones and antlers, and her resource guarding tendencies are a thing of the past!

Ideal Home

Panda would thrive in a home that provides clear boundaries and is committed to enforcing them. This includes rules like no dogs on the couch and settling down during meal times. She has a bit of "stranger danger" and does best when new people initially ignore her, allowing her to approach them for affection on her own terms (which usually happens within about 15 minutes). While she loves dogs and does wonderfully in a home with strong leadership, if there isn't that guiding presence, she would be happiest as the only pet.

Panda is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Panda is mastering her basic obedience commands, including sit, down, and place. She is also crate and house trained, and walks nicely on a leash.
