Josie

Josie is a 5-month-old, 19 lb female Retriever mix with striking heterochromia – one brown eye and one ice blue eye! She's a sweet and lively girl who was rescued with her siblings and is now enjoying learning how to be a playful pup. Josie is adjusting well and can be a bit of a bed hog, but she's also a warm snuggle buddy. She is crate trained but prefers the couch or bed, loves toys and sunbathing, and is working on her leash manners. Exploring can be a bit intimidating for this young puppy, so patience is appreciated. Josie is doing well with potty pads and would be fine with gentle children or other doggy playmates. She can be a little timid at times but is also very sweet and cuddly.

A home that will be patient with her as she learns and explores, and that appreciates her sweet and cuddly nature.

Ongoing Health

All core vaccinations (DHPP, rabies), spay/neuter, and microchip are included in the adoption fee.

Training & Support

Josie is crate trained but prefers sleeping on the couch or bed. She is working on potty training and is pretty good with potty pads, and is practicing her leash manners. She may be a bit timid and would benefit from patience as she explores her new surroundings.

Transporation

Josie is currently located in South Texas and can be transported to her new home in Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Connecticut, Virginia, Maryland, and other states on the East and West Coast.
