Meet Babe Ruth! This handsome 3-year-old Boxer and American Bulldog mix is a real gentle giant, weighing in at a hefty 98 pounds – his name definitely suits his XL size! Babe was rescued from the BARC daily kill list in April 2025 and has since been thriving in his foster home. He's a fully potty trained, crate trained, neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations and preventatives. Babe is incredibly affectionate and loves nothing more than to snuggle up for hugs and cuddles, often forgetting just how big he is! He's a well-behaved indoor dog who doesn't cause any mess or destruction and sleeps soundly in his kennel at night. Babe is also great with all new visitors and is eager to please.

Ideal Home

Babe would likely do best as a single dog or with female dogs, as he tends to be an alpha male and can be dominant with other male dogs.

Babe is up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm, and flea prevention.

Training & Support

Babe is fully potty trained and crate trained. He is a well-mannered dog who is trusted to wander freely in his foster home during the day.
