Meet Frankie, a gentle soul with a big heart who's ready for his second chance. This 2.5-year-old, 70-pound neutered male American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull mix is a quiet, tender-hearted pup. At first, he may seem shy and reserved, but once he feels safe, his sweet and affectionate personality shines through. He isn't demanding of attention; instead, he quietly seeks comfort by simply being near someone he trusts. Frankie was found tied up with his sister and has been slowly learning that the world can be kind. He enjoys being around other dogs and has started to engage in play, though he's also content to observe from the sidelines. He is cautious around new people, but not reactive, and he needs a patient and understanding home.
Ideal Home
Frankie would thrive in a quieter household with a predictable routine and older children who understand how to respect his boundaries. A securely fenced yard is a must, as he is an escape artist and can climb chain-link or chicken-wire fencing. He would likely do well with a calm canine companion.
Ongoing Health
Frankie has no known health conditions.
Training & Support
Frankie is house-trained and has not had accidents indoors. He is also fine when left alone for periods. He is still learning to walk on a leash and can freeze or pancake when afraid. He is also intimidated by new doorways or thresholds but is gaining confidence. He understands simple cues like "no" and "food" and is learning to wait his turn for treats.
