Brownie

Hi there! My name is Brownie, and I am a 2-year-old, 20-lb Miniature Poodle currently staying in a foster home in Ansonia, CT. I was pulled from the euthanasia list at a Yonkers, NY shelter and given a second chance to find the perfect patient family. I am vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, healthy, happy, and ready to meet you!

I am a smart, loyal boy who bonds deeply with my human, but at first, I will need some time for trust to build. I can get a little mouthy when overstimulated or excited, but with structure, consistency, and clear boundaries, I respond beautifully and continue to make steady progress. In return for your patience as I get to know you, you will get true devotion, companionship, and my sweet, sensitive poodle nature. Once I feel safe, I enjoy pets, holding hands, and snuggling beside you as often as possible. I am a velcro poodle!

Ideal Home

I would be best in a calm, adult-only home. If I end up with a doggy housemate, he/she must be calm and not jump all over me.

Ongoing Health

I am vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. I am healthy and happy!

Training & Support

I can get a little mouthy when overstimulated or excited, but with structure, consistency, and clear boundaries, I respond beautifully and continue to make steady progress. I am well-behaved at home, housebroken, and do not need to be crated while you are away.
