Suzuki

Suzuki is a sweet Coonhound-Pointer mix, estimated to be around 12-13 months old and weighing 40-45lbs. He had a tough beginning, being found abandoned with his siblings. While he's still a bit timid and unsure around new people, he's made great progress with our volunteers and is blossoming! Suzuki is dog-friendly and does well with children once he feels comfortable. However, due to his breed instincts, he will bark at and likely chase cats. Despite growing up in a shelter, Suzuki is self-kennel trained and keeps his space very tidy. He enjoys playtime and is learning to walk nicely on a leash. Suzuki is neutered and up-to-date on all puppy vaccinations.

Ideal Home

Suzuki would thrive in a home that understands his need for a little extra time to warm up to new people. While he's great with kids and dogs, his prey drive means he's not the best fit for a home with cats.

Suzuki is neutered and has received all his puppy vaccinations.

Training & Support

Suzuki is still learning about the world and may need some continued guidance on leash walking and managing his excitement around cats. Patience and positive reinforcement will go a long way in helping him feel secure and confident.

• All current pets must be up to date on vaccines and spayed/neutered.
• Dogs must be on heartworm preventative.
• All adoptable cats must live indoors and adopters must agree not to declaw.
