Chip is a gentle, easygoing guy who's ready to settle into a calm, loving home. He has limited eyesight, but you'd hardly know it. Chip navigates his world with confidence and learns new environments quickly. Once he's familiar with his surroundings, he moves around with ease and enjoys a steady, predictable routine. Chip gets along beautifully with other dogs and would especially love a calm, sighted buddy to walk alongside. Chip isn't much for playtime, but he's a big fan of slow, "sniff sniff sniff" walks where he can take in the world at his own pace. He does have a little enthusiasm on leash and will benefit from some continued work there. At home, Chip is about as low-maintenance as they come. He's quiet, sleeps most of the day, and doesn't need much exercise. He's great with children and will happily follow them around, and he comes when called. Chip weighs approximately 55 pounds. Ideal Home
Chip would do best in a home that offers consistency and a predictable routine, whether that's with a fellow senior/calm dog or a human who enjoys a peaceful, steady lifestyle. For evening strolls, a flashlight helps light the way, but Chip is otherwise an easy companion who asks for very little and gives a whole lot in return.
