Molly

Molly is a sweet 1.5-year-old girl who weighs an estimated 15 lbs. She came to us from a rural shelter in Virginia when her elderly owner could no longer care for her. Molly is a calm dog who enjoys walks and being close to her people, often following her person around the house. While she can have occasional bursts of energy, she's generally a mellow companion. She's already mastered "sit" and uses it to patiently wait for her meals.

Ideal Home

Molly would do best in a home where someone is around more often than not, as she can experience a touch of separation anxiety and may bark when left alone. She is cautious around sudden movements and loud noises and will need continued socialization to help her feel more comfortable with new things. While she's doing well with the children in her foster home, she is still a bit jumpy around them and prefers to ignore them most of the time. She has, however, shown affection by sitting on a lap and accepting pets and treats. Molly did well meeting some dogs with polite and cautious greetings. We are unsure how she would do with cats.

Ongoing Health

Molly is housebroken and doing well in her crate during the day. She is working on not whining at night when crated, and her excited urination is improving.

Training & Support

Molly knows "sit" and is working on "stay." She is housebroken but may have occasional excited urination. She is also working on not whining in her crate at night. Continued socialization will be beneficial for her.
