Chester

Chester is a 2.5-year-old, neutered male Staffordshire Terrier mix, weighing around 60 pounds. This happy, affectionate boy's tail never stops wagging, and he's a pro at playing with dogs of all sizes and genders. While he'd love a doggy friend, he'd also be content as the sole canine in the house. Chester is great with small children, though he doesn't currently live with them. We have no information on his history with cats. He's fully potty-trained, sleeps quietly in his crate, and knows the "kennel" command. Chester is a smart and quick learner, already working on house manners like not "sampling" unattended snacks.

Ideal Home

Chester would thrive in a home that can provide regular walks, plenty of affection, and continued training. He would love a dog friend, but can also be a happy solo pup.

Training & Support

Chester is still learning some house manners, such as not helping himself to snacks on the counter. He can pull on leash when excited and sometimes barks at strangers, but with continued leash work and social exposure, he will refine these manners. He also tends to pace and whine in the car, so ongoing car training will be beneficial.

Chester is currently fostered in San Antonio, Texas. He is able to be transported once an adopter is approved. Transport is included in the adoption donation.
