About Ashton

Meet Ashton! This handsome 4-year-old, 88-pound Yellow Labrador Retriever is a bundle of joy and energy, ready to bring a smile to your face. Ashton found himself back at the shelter because his family was moving, and after a lifetime of love in one home, he's navigating this new chapter with remarkable resilience. He remains a happy boy who is doing his best to adjust and take everything in stride.

Ashton's favorite pastime is a good game of fetch – he'll happily retrieve the ball and bring it right back for another toss! He thrives on activity and cherishes quality time with his humans. While he's a strong boy who's still learning his own size, his sweetness shines through. He's also shown he can be a good canine citizen, getting along well with other dogs at the shelter. He's a large dog with an equally large, lovable personality!

Ashton is currently heartworm positive and will be undergoing treatment here at the shelter. It's crucial that his future family is committed to keeping him on monthly heartworm prevention and ensuring he receives regular veterinary care to maintain his happy and healthy life.

After the upheaval of losing his only known home, Ashton is dreaming of a forever family who will offer him the lifelong commitment and stability he truly deserves.
