Red

Red is a wonderful senior gentleman, approximately 10 years old and weighing in at a sturdy 52 pounds. He's a sweet boy who is good with people and children. While he has a medium energy level, he does have a playful habit of gently nibbling fingers if he suspects food is involved – a little reminder to keep snacks securely stored! Red also gets along well with other dogs, provided that their food bowls are kept separate. He's heartworm positive, but we've opted for the gentler slow-kill method due to his age, which means he'll continue on medication for the rest of his life.

Ideal Home

A home that understands his need for food security would be wonderful. He's great with kids and people, and generally good with other dogs as long as food isn't readily accessible.

Ongoing Health

Red is heartworm positive and will require medication for the remainder of his life as part of a slow-kill treatment plan.

Training & Support

Red may try to gently nibble fingers if he thinks there's food. A consistent approach to managing his food and preventing this habit will be key to his success.
