Solstice

Solstice is a sweet but shy young dog who had a rough start in life. She arrived in our care with eight puppies, one of whom had significant medical needs. Solstice herself was heartworm positive and has been undergoing treatment. Now that her puppies are finding homes, it's her turn! She's quiet and full of love, but can be timid around new people. However, she's eager to make friends with humans and most dogs. Solstice gets nervous around cats, so we're looking for a home without feline companions. With a gentle touch and patience, she'll blossom into the wonderful dog we know she can be. A calm home with a consistent routine would be ideal, though she enjoys playful moments once she feels secure. She even likes car rides, despite her nervousness! We know shy dogs aren't for everyone, but we're sure the perfect family for Solstice is out there!

A quieter home with a steady schedule would be best for Solstice. We are looking for a home without cats.

Solstice was heartworm positive and is currently recovering.
