Meet Willow!

Willow is a courageous two-year-old Siberian Husky/American Pitbull Terrier mix with a tricolor coat and an unstoppable spirit. She's a distemper survivor who has blossomed into a loving and curious girl with a zest for life. Willow adores long walks and exploring the world with her person.

Ideal Home

Willow currently shares her space with four senior dogs and does best in a single-dog home. Her trainer believes she could thrive with a dog of similar energy and age, but she can guard her food around other dogs, so no snack-sharing please. She has shown protective behaviors and can be fearful of strangers, particularly men. Willow prefers to be the center of affection and would flourish in a home that can offer her one-on-one love, structure, and understanding. She thrives with a calm, adult family that values routine and kindness and is especially compatible with guardians who are home often and understand the beauty of going slow and steady.

Willow is a distemper survivor.

Training & Support

Willow has a history of nipping when overly excited and has attempted to bite a mail carrier when startled. These behaviors are rooted in past trauma and fear, not aggression. She is currently in a board-and-train program focused on building confidence through positive reinforcement and is learning to trust again. She is crate trained, house trained, and knows the "sit" command.
