Teresa

Teresa is a loving, gentle, and intelligent girl who has been patiently waiting for a real family to call her own. She is sociable and enjoys the company of people. While she may be a little cautious and shy at first due to past fear of rejection, once she feels safe, her true affectionate, playful, and eager personality shines through. Teresa absolutely adores being petted and will happily seek out cuddles and human companionship. She is a calm, balanced, and respectful dog who prefers peace and harmony. Teresa was found tied to a tree with a wire that had cut deeply into her neck, but despite her past trauma, she has proven to be a wonderful, obedient, affectionate, and very smart dog.

Ideal Home

Teresa would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. She needs a family with a genuine intention to rescue and who understands the needs of street animals. Experience with dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer, is highly recommended. She requires high tolerance and patience.

Ongoing Health

Teresa is spayed, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm. She is up-to-date on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She has a scar on her neck from a past injury, but it does not affect her sweet spirit.

Training & Support

Teresa is not fully house-trained and will require patience and consistency in this area. She walks on a leash with guidance and can be crate-trained. She may feel nervous in a crate at first but settles down over time.

Transportation

Teresa is currently fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel. Transportation is available via a contracted company for door-to-door delivery. This service includes scheduled trips, comprehensive legal and health paperwork, and real-time updates during the journey. A transport fee of $400 USD applies.
