Sal is a handsome, 1-year-old terrier mix who weighs 51lbs. He has a heart full of love and a playful spirit, always ready to bring joy to his new family. Sal is currently undergoing treatment for heartworms and is eagerly waiting for his forever home.

Sal is deaf, but this sweet boy navigates the world with enthusiasm and a happy personality. Volunteers describe him as "fun, engaging, and loving," and he quickly wins over everyone he meets. He greets people with excitement, loves making new friends, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Whether he's playing in the yard or enjoying some cuddle time, Sal is all about living life to the fullest. He arrived as a stray in late March and is more than ready to leave shelter life behind for a family who will cherish him. Deaf dogs adapt remarkably well, and Sal is a perfect example that communication goes far beyond words; he's pure heart, joy, and affection.
