Mia

Meet Mia, a delightful 3.5-year-old spayed female, Pitbull/Retriever mix with a heart full of love and a playful spirit! Mia was recently adopted but is now seeking her forever home. She previously lived happily with her foster dad in the US for over a year. While she lived with a male, Mia can be a little shy and bark when first meeting new men, a behavior our trainers believe stems from fear and is something we are working on building her confidence with. She has shown no issues with females. Mia is incredibly dog-friendly and was best friends with another dog in her previous foster home. She greets other dogs on leash without any problems. Mia does pull on the leash, and some dedicated training will help her master loose-leash walking.

Ideal Home

Mia would thrive in an active home where she can go on walks, enjoy outdoor adventures, and have plenty of playtime. A home with room to run and ideally, a dedicated pile of branches for her to enjoy would be wonderful!

Mia is a healthy girl.

Training & Support

Mia pulls on the leash and would benefit from some leash training. She can also be a bit hesitant around new men, but this is fear-based, and with confidence-building exercises and patience, she will blossom.

Transporation

Mia is currently being fostered in OTTAWA, ONTARIO. Transports run every few weeks, and she will be scheduled for the next available transport once approved.
