Cooper

Cooper is an almost 3-year-old, 65lb, white Husky with striking blue eyes. He's a gentle giant who defies Husky stereotypes with his calm demeanor, quiet nature, and infrequent howling. Cooper is a deeply affectionate dog who thrives on human connection and loves nothing more than a good cuddle. He's great with kids and cats, and gets along well with dogs under 25 lbs, but large dogs can be a bit much for him. Because of this, Cooper is not a dog park dog. He'll need a different kind of adventure to get the exercise his Husky spirit craves!

Ideal Home

Cooper would love a home where he can shower his humans with affection. He's not a fan of hot weather, but thrives in the cold and snow. Due to his size and excitement when meeting new people, homes with larger dogs are not a good fit.

Training & Support

Cooper's enthusiasm for visitors can lead to some playful knocking over of items, so he'll benefit from continued training in "place" and other impulse control commands. He's also a strong puller on leash, and his new family must be committed to working on his leash manners. He can get overstimulated by larger, reactive dogs on walks but is generally good with smaller dogs and can be redirected.
