Melvin- Foster to Adopt Home Needed

Melvin is a sweet, timid 20lb Beagle mix who is looking for his perfect Foster to Adopt home. He has made amazing progress in his foster home and is learning to enjoy walks, chase squirrels, and even show his affectionate side! He's also doing great in the heartworm slow-kill program, with no exercise restrictions, so he can play to his heart's content. Melvin is good with other dogs and cats, and we believe a playful canine sibling would be a great addition to his new home. He can be a little fearful, but with patience and love, he's sure to blossom.

Ideal Home

A loving and patient home that can help Melvin overcome some of his fears. A playful dog buddy is a must!

Ongoing Health

Melvin is currently in a heartworm slow-kill program. He also has a grade 2/6 heart murmur, which we hope will improve as he heals. He is being treated for potential Lyme disease as well.

Training & Support

Melvin is still learning to trust humans and may need some gentle guidance to feel comfortable. Positive reinforcement, especially with treats, will be very effective in helping him adjust.
