Brownie

Hi there! My name is Brownie, and I am a 2-year-old, 20-lb Miniature Poodle with a heart full of love and a past that’s led me to this moment. I was so lucky to be rescued from a shelter where I was facing euthanasia, and now I’m in a loving foster home in Ansonia, CT, dreaming of my forever family. I’m vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and as healthy and happy as can be – just waiting to meet you!

I’m a smart and loyal boy who forms very deep bonds with my people. It might take me a little bit of time to build trust, but once I do, you’ll have a devoted companion. I can get a bit mouthy when I’m overstimulated or excited, but with consistent structure and clear boundaries, I learn quickly and respond beautifully. The patience you show me will be rewarded with true devotion, endless companionship, and my sweet, sensitive poodle nature. When I feel safe, I absolutely love gentle pets, holding hands, and snuggling up right beside you. I’m a total velcro poodle!

Ideal Home

I would be happiest in a calm, adult-only home. If you have a canine companion, they should be calm and not overly rambunctious, as I prefer a more peaceful environment.

Ongoing Health

I am healthy, vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped.

Training & Support

I am housebroken and well-behaved at home. I do not require crating when you are away. While I can get a little mouthy when excited or overstimulated, I respond well to structure, consistency, and clear boundaries.
