Meet Hogan. Some dogs chase tennis balls. Some dogs chase frisbees.

Hogan chases people.

Not because he is needy. Not because he is wild.

But because, more than anything else in the world, this sweet boy just wants to be close to someone who loves him.

At about a year old and 55 pounds, Hogan is the kind of dog who feels like an old friend the moment you meet him. Calm, gentle, affectionate, and quietly loyal, he has a softness about him that is impossible to fake. While the other dogs are busy running laps and wrestling in the yard, Hogan will play for a little while… and then wander back over to sit beside the humans, perfectly content just being near them.

That is who he is.

A companion. A shadow. A best friend waiting patiently for his person.

Hogan loves people, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and even showed no prey drive when introduced to a cat. He walks beautifully on a leash and carries himself with the kind of easygoing sweetness that makes you instantly trust him.

He is not the dog demanding constant entertainment.

He is the dog quietly leaning against your leg while you drink coffee in the morning. The dog sitting beside you after a hard day. The dog watching the world with you from the porch like he has been part of your family forever.

Hogan is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and ready for a home where he can finally exhale and know he belongs.

Some dogs ask for toys. Some ask for treats.

Hogan is only asking for someone to stay.

GETTING HOGAN HOME:

Hogan is neutered or spayed, microchipped & vaccinated and would benefit from being adopted by a dog-loving person who understands he has so much to offer but will need a little time to adjust and settle in with his new family.

Currently this dog is being fostered at our Rescue Ranch near Houston, TX but can be brought close to your home on rescue transport which comes through your area once a month. Transport info below.

Adoption fee is $425 plus $30 for a health certificate and $260 for transport.

Understanding transport: Once everything is all approved, dogs are scheduled on transport using AJC Rescue & Transport (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083418067425). Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will be updated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport.
