His volunteer friends have loved to watch him warm up in the shelter, sharing: “Dale is a beautiful, curious-but-cautious boy with playful puppy energy. On our walk, he was very curious about the ducks and birds, so I took him to a play yard where he enjoyed chasing down tossed treats.” “Dale is an adorable floofybutt boy that you’ve just got to meet out of his kennel! This morning he was nervous when I approached the kennel, but when I offered him a treat, he took it with a gentle mouth. When another volunteer came to leash him up, his whole demeanor changed, and he had a high waggy tail and an excited body. In the play yard, he was a master explorer and would check in occasionally for treats and pets! He enjoyed gentle pets to his head and chin scratches. The longer we were in the yard together, the more he would come over to me and solicit attention and pets, at one point putting his beautiful head on my lap. He’s a sweetie!” Dale has shared his kennel and has been playful and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup.
