Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Lola, a loving and playful 1-year-old Hound mix with short-to-medium fur, a cropped tail, and a weight of 22 kg. She is affectionate with people, enjoys cuddling and giving kisses, and loves carrying toys and running.

Lola is a high-energy adolescent who enjoys playing hard with other dogs, especially a playful male dog. She has done very well playing with dogs in her foster home and is reported to be good with cats. She is fast, playful, and may be a great candidate for agility classes.

Ideal Home

Lola needs:

• A fully fenced wooden yard at least 6 feet high
• Another resident male dog who enjoys energetic play
• Older children, preferably age 10 or over
• A family with someone home for part of the day
• A steady diet and appropriate mental and physical stimulation
• No off-leash time in unfenced areas, as she may follow her nose

She can counter surf and must be supervised around counters. In a vehicle, she needs to be tethered for safety.

Ongoing Health

Lola has a sensitive stomach and eats a chicken-and-rice diet with grains. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and had a negative 4DX test. She received heartworm prevention from August through November.

Training & Support

Lola is not mouthy in her foster home, where she can play and use her energy with other dogs. She sleeps on furniture or a dog bed and enjoys relaxing beside or on the lap of her people after playtime.
