Benji

Hi there! I'm Benji, a super friendly 8-year-old male Beagle who's ready to find my forever family. I'm a happy and very loving pup who enjoys nothing more than lounging on the sofa with my favorite people and going for long walks. I can be a bit wary of crates since I was crated a lot in my previous home, so if I need to be confined, baby gates in the kitchen work best for me. I absolutely adore young children and love to play with them! When I first came to Nittany Beagle Rescue, I was drinking a lot, but thankfully, the vet diagnosed me with Cushing's disease, and my medication has made a world of difference! I'm also on a diet to help me shed a few pounds, which should also help with my medication costs. I'm housetrained and usually go out about three times a day. I've lived with other dogs and did okay, and I'm great with cats! I'm already neutered and up-to-date on all my vaccines. I've been waiting a while for my perfect match, and I know you'll be so happy you chose me.

Ideal Home

I'd love a home where I can relax on the sofa and go for plenty of walks. Since I'm not a fan of crates, a home that can accommodate baby-gating me in the kitchen if needed would be ideal. I love kids and get along with cats, so a family environment would be wonderful!

Ongoing Health

I have Cushing's disease, which is managed with medication. The monthly cost for my medication is currently $93 through Chewy, but this may decrease once I lose more weight.

Training & Support

I'm already housetrained and know how to go outside about three times a day. I'm not a fan of crates, so please use baby gates for confinement if necessary.
