Dagger is a delightful 6.5-month-old Retriever/Pit Bull mix with an estimated DOB of January 2026. She currently weighs 40 pounds and is expected to be a large dog when fully grown. Dagger is a spayed female who was rescued from the woods with her mother and littermates. She's a fearless, affectionate, and playful pup who loves cuddles and will melt your heart with her sweet love nibbles. Dagger is potty-trained and is growing into a confident and well-rounded dog. She enjoys both playtime and curling up in your lap. She's a talented escape artist, so her future family should be aware! Dagger is friendly with strangers, loves other dogs, and has been around children with positive results.
Ideal Home
Dagger would thrive in a home with a family committed to positive reinforcement and ongoing training. She does best with consistent socialization and prefers a home where someone isn't routinely away for more than four to six hours at a time. Because she is an adolescent dog who can be an escape artist, her future family should be prepared to provide secure enclosures. We prefer homes that already have another friendly, well-mannered dog to help mentor and guide Dagger, but we will consider homes without another dog if you have a proactive plan for continued socialization.

Training & Support
Dagger is potty-trained but is still very much an adolescent and learning about the world. She will benefit from continued positive reinforcement, consistency, and leash practice. Ongoing socialization with new people, places, sounds, and friendly dogs is crucial for building her lifelong confidence.
