Pint-Sized Ranger with a Whole Lot of Heart
If you’ve ever wanted a sidekick who’s equal parts hiking buddy, security guard, and comedian, meet Callie — a 1-year-old Collie/Australian Cattle Dog mix with a 35-pound frame and a personality way bigger than her size. Callie’s favorite pastime? Her daily walks in the state forest — she takes her “forest ranger” duties very seriously. Every squirrel, leaf, and suspicious breeze gets a full investigation. She’s also a bit of a wasp-chaser (yes, even after getting stung once — she calls it “unfinished business”). At home, she’s all about comfort and company. Callie loves curling up in your lap, staring out the window like she’s watching her own personal soap opera, and reminding you that snacks taste better when shared. She’s got some adorable quirks — she’ll politely turn her nose up at plain kibble unless it has a little gourmet touch (a wet food topper, please and thank you). Freeze-dried green beans are her afternoon obsession. Callie’s a smart girl with a little bit of sass — she knows Sit, Stay, and Stop, but she’s also got her own opinions about how fast she needs to do them. She’s working on her leash manners and learning how to greet new friends more politely, and she’s making great progress every day. She’s fully potty trained, crate trained, and has mastered the art of making you feel like the most important person in her world. Callie isn’t just looking for a home — she’s looking for a partner in adventure, someone who’ll join her on walks, talk to her during snack prep, and understand that yes, she did just save you from that dangerous butterfly. So, if you’re ready for a little dog with big personality, big loyalty, and an even bigger love for life — Callie’s your girl.
