Yzma

Yzma is a joyful and deserving senior pup who was found roaming in South Carolina. Despite a rough start with a poor body score, coat, and weakness in her rear quarters, Yzma's sweet nature shone through. Once settled in a foster home, she blossomed, offering brilliant smiles and a loving demeanor. Yzma thrives with a confident canine companion to guide her and is house-trained, doing well without a crate. She enjoys lounging on dog beds, exploring the yard, and is always ready for a treat or a pet, especially loving the snow!

Ongoing Health

Yzma has degenerative disc disease. Our vet does not recommend surgery. She will require ongoing management with oral medication and potentially therapies such as laser or acupuncture. Owners should be prepared to manage her weight, restrict high-impact activities like stair use and jumping on/off furniture, and provide quality food and supplements. It's important to understand that this is a chronic condition with the possibility of flare-ups.
