Meet Joanie, a sweet and soulful 1-1/2-year-old shepherd/hound mix with a heart full of love and so much potential. This 52 lb lady can be a little shy at first with new people and dogs, but once she warms up—which doesn’t take long—she’s incredibly affectionate and loyal. Joanie is currently living in a foster home with 4 other dogs and loves playing with them! She’s moderately active and eager to learn, loves to be loved, and is ready to grow into the amazing companion she’s meant to be.

Joanie would do well with a patient, experienced owner who can continue helping her build confidence through positive training and consistent structure.

Ongoing Health

Joanie is fully vaccinated and spayed. She is currently going through heartworm treatment.

Training & Support

Joanie is house-trained. She is eager to learn and will thrive with positive reinforcement and consistent guidance.

Joanie is currently located in Houston, TX. She is available for local adoption. Once her heartworm treatment is complete, she will be available for out-of-state adoption. Transportation can be arranged to approved adopters through our rescue network.
