Gus is a handsome Black and Tan Coonhound mix with a heart as big as his soft, floppy ears. He's about 1.5 years old and weighs 61 pounds. Gus is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his shots. Designed to be a hunting dog, Gus didn't quite match what his former humans expected, and instead of patience, he was left behind in a rural area. But Gus hasn't let that dim his spirit. He still loves generously, trusts generously, and greets each new day as a fresh adventure. This sweet boy is learning that life doesn't have to be about "performing." These days, Gus is all about relaxing, being a pup, and enjoying the simple joys like standing in the sunshine, soaking up the warmth, and taking in all the amazing outdoor smells.
