Meet Hercules, a strong-hearted and loving Pit Bull Terrier who enjoys snuggles, walks, wilderness adventures, and chasing bugs. He adores red rocket toys and is worth the patience and extra work as he continues building confidence and learning to trust.

Hercules was previously used for backyard breeding and later spent nearly a year waiting for a home. After being adopted, he was returned because of a change in the family's circumstances. He can be nervous at first and may be slow to warm up to men, but he has formed a strong bond with a male volunteer and did wonderfully during a week-long semi-truck trip.

Hercules is working on making new dog friends and has done very well with Butterball, a female pit bull. He needs a dog-smart adopter who understands his selective social style and will give him time to settle in.
