Hercules

Meet Hercules! This sweet boy had a rough start to life, having been used for backyard breeding before escaping and ending up on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, he was rescued and found a loving home, but sadly, had to be returned due to a change in his adopter's family dynamic. Hercules is a resilient soul who, despite his past, is incredibly loving, kind, and full of personality. He's a bit of a bug-catching enthusiast and will keep you entertained with his playful antics. His absolute favorite things in the world are his red rocket toys, and he's a true explorer who loves long walks and taking in the wonders of nature. Hercules has also shown he can make doggie friends, doing particularly well with Butterball, a female pit bull. While he can be a bit slow to warm up to men, he has formed strong bonds with male volunteers in the past, even embarking on an adventurous road trip!

Ideal Home

Hercules would thrive in a home with a patient and dog-smart adopter who understands he may need a little time to adjust. He's proven he can make friends with other dogs, so a canine companion could be a plus.

Hercules is a smart boy who is working on building confidence and learning to trust. He can sometimes be slow to warm up to men, but with patience and positive reinforcement, he forms wonderful bonds. His love for his red rocket toys can be a great motivator for training and play!
