Duncan

Duncan is a sweet, approximately 1-year-old, 19-pound boy with a lot of love to give! His DNA shows a delightful mix of breeds, with a notable dash of Chihuahua. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and truly enjoys playtime, especially with his squeaky toys. Duncan also loves receiving pets and lots of attention, and he's a quiet, well-behaved companion. He seems to be pretty well house-trained and walks nicely on a leash, though a little more training would be beneficial.

Ideal Home

We do not adopt to anyone with children under the age of 8 years.

Ongoing Health

Duncan tested positive for heartworms upon rescue and has completed treatment according to The American Heartworm Society's protocols. We typically see dogs test negative within 4 to 6 months after treatment. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated (including Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, and Canine Influenza), and are on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas/ticks, and parasites.

Training & Support

Duncan is generally well-behaved and seems to be pretty house-trained. He does pretty well on a leash but would benefit from some additional leash training.
