Hi there! I'm Diego, a stunning Portuguese Water Dog mix with a heart as big as my fluffy hairdo! I'm about 2 years old and weigh around 55 pounds, with a potential to reach 60-65 pounds. My fur is long, black, and wonderfully soft, and I have the most beautiful dark eyes that sparkle with curiosity and affection. I was rescued from a local shelter and I'm ready to find my forever family!
Ideal Home
I'm an energetic and adventurous soul who loves to explore and play! A home that can keep up with my leaps and bounds would be amazing. Once I've had my fill of playtime or a good walk, I settle down beautifully and truly enjoy cuddling and giving big hugs. I'm looking for a dog-loving person who understands that adjusting to a new home takes a little time, but I promise to be a fantastic companion once I do!

I'm microchipped and vaccinated, and I'll be neutered soon. I'm also housebroken and do well on a schedule.

Transportation
I'm currently located in the Houston area. Our rescue arranges transport for "out of town" pets like me! We use AJC Rescue & Transport to carefully move dogs via air-conditioned/heated vans from our ranch in Fulshear, TX, to a location near you. You'll be included in a group chat to track my journey in real-time, with updates on my location and estimated arrival time. While our drivers do their best to stay on schedule, please understand that traffic and weather can sometimes cause delays. I'll be in a crate for my safety during transport and will have scheduled breaks for food, walks, and potty stops.
