Meet Joanie, a sweet and soulful 1.5-year-old shepherd/hound mix weighing 52 lbs. She has a heart full of love and so much potential! Joanie can be a little shy at first with new people and dogs, but once she warms up, which doesn't take long, she’s incredibly affectionate and loyal. She is currently enjoying life in a foster home with four other dogs and loves to play with them. Joanie is moderately active and is eager to learn and be loved. She is ready to grow into the amazing companion she's meant to be.

A patient, experienced owner who can continue helping Joanie build confidence through positive training and consistent structure will be ideal for her.

Ongoing Health

Joanie is fully vaccinated and spayed. She is currently going through heartworm treatment.

Training & Support

Joanie is eager to learn and will benefit from continued positive training to build her confidence.

Joanie is located in Houston, TX. She is available for local adoption and will be available for out-of-state adoption once her heartworm treatment is complete. Transport can be arranged to approved adopters through our rescue network for out-of-state adoptions.
