Arlo Love You So

Arlo is his name and his gentle eyes match his heart perfectly! Arlo is currently fostered in a loving home with three kids (ages 4-12), and his daily routine reads like a cozy family story. Mornings start with breakfast and a short walk to the bus stop with the kids, followed by backyard zoomies and toy time with his small dog buddy. Then it's nap time... until the kids come home and it's right back to play, connection, and winding down together for the evening. He is house and crate trained, knows the rhythm of home life, and truly thrives when he knows where his people are. Arlo is estimated to be 1 year old, he weighs 48 lbs. and may be a husky/shepherd mix but of course, he is a rescue so we cannot guarantee age or breed. Arlo's foster has had a wonderful front row seat to the Arlo show and shared so much about him. We lovingly call him a "slow bloom, big reward" kind of dog. He can be shy when meeting new people and may hang back at first, taking everything in from a safe distance and in these moments, you see just how adoring and devoted he is. This is when he looks to his person for reassurance while he figures things out. But with a little time, a little patience, and a steady routine... on the other side, you have the sweetest, most devoted boy who just wants to be close to you.

Ideal Home

Arlo would feel most comfortable in a home with a yard where he can settle in and build confidence at his own pace. A home with a smaller, friendly dog or a calm, easygoing larger dog (with a thoughtful introduction and decompression time) would be ideal. He has also done well with slow and proper introductions with a cat. Walks in busy or unfamiliar places can feel like a lot for him right now.

Training & Support

Arlo is house and crate trained. He can be shy when meeting new people and may hang back at first. He is a smart, trainable boy who just needs time, consistency, and someone willing to show him the world can be a safe and gentle place.

• The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting, DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!

Transporation

Arlo is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
