NY/Jake

Meet Jake, a 10 1/2-year-young neutered Orange & White Brittany who is looking for a very special home to call his own! Don't let his age fool you; he still has plenty of Brittany puppy energy, curiosity, and mischief-making ability to share. Jake loves adventures and nice walks, getting very excited when the leash appears. He enjoys being around people, though he can get jumpy, so a home with older, dog-savvy children would be ideal. He also thrives on company and hopes his new family works from home, is retired, or will spend more time at home than away. Jake is crate-trained, but it makes him nervous and anxious.

Ideal Home

Jake would love an active home where he gets to go on adventures and nice walks. He needs a home with older, dog-savvy children and prefers to be the only dog. A home that is cat-free is also a must due to his prey drive.

Ongoing Health

Jake is housetrained, current on vaccines, heartworm negative, on prevention, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Jake is quite the "talker" and can be set in his ways, especially when it comes to sharing toys or items he shouldn't have. He tends to hold onto things he's not supposed to have, a behavior his fosters are working on, believing he may not have had many possessions of his own before.

Transportation

Jake is currently being fostered in Northern New York. Transportation is available for up to 1400 miles, with the adoptive family responsible for the last 100 miles, at no additional fee.
