Mojo

Mojo is an 8½ year old male German Shepherd with a truly remarkable comeback story. He and his mom were found abandoned and living in squalor, resorting to eating rats to survive. Mojo arrived with his mom in 2024 in very poor physical condition, suffering from severe genetic hip issues that left him almost crippled and in pain. Thanks to successful bilateral hip surgeries, Mojo is now living his best life, running with joy and making up for lost time. He is wonderful with people, affectionate, gentle, and a complete love sponge once he forms a bond. Mojo is also good with other dogs, provided they are respectful and do not body slam him. He would do best with canine friends who are polite. Children over 10 years old who understand how to interact gently with dogs are preferred. Mojo is a firm no on cats and small animals. He is well-mannered, housebroken, and easy to live with, knowing how to settle and relax as part of a household.

Ideal Home

Mojo needs a securely fenced yard and a home where significant stair climbing is not required. While he gets around well, fewer stairs would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Mojo has had two successful hip surgeries and currently does not require any specific ongoing medical care related to his hips.

Training & Support

Mojo is housebroken and well-mannered. He knows how to settle and enjoy being part of a home.
