Scooby is a handsome, approximately one-year-old dog with a big personality and an abundance of energy! He's a sweet teddy bear who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and loves to play. Be prepared for some joyful, playful barking when he's having a blast! He walks nicely on a leash with a harness and responds well to gentle guidance. Scooby enjoys a variety of chew toys and bones, but he does get bored quickly, so keeping him entertained with new options is key. His favorite spot for relaxation is a big bean bag chair.
Ideal Home
Scooby would thrive in a home with plenty of space to run and play, and where someone is often present. He would do best in a home without cats, as his curiosity can turn into a chase instinct when they move.
Ongoing Health
Scooby is currently experiencing some soft stools, and we are working to find the best diet for his tummy, which includes a probiotic with his evening meal. He is also on medication to help manage his separation anxiety and stay calm when crated.
Training & Support
Scooby is still working on his potty training and doesn't always signal when he needs to go outside, but he is making progress. His crate training is improving; he'll take a treat and settle in his crate after a little whining. He has a tendency to escape his crate, so he'll need a patient and understanding owner who can manage his "Houdini" tendencies. He does experience separation anxiety, and without medication, can become quite distressed.
