Hi, I’m Lucky and I’m ready to be someone’s true family member. I was found roaming back roads by a kind Samaritan. I was very thin and had wounds on my legs. I had a microchip, but when my previous owner was contacted, they said I was just a "hunting dog" and never came for me. I don’t understand that, but I know I deserve more.
I’m a happy boy, even after everything I’ve been through. My tail is almost always wagging, and I love to prance around when I’m excited! I adore people and soak up every bit of affection I can get. I have a gentle heart and not a mean bone in my body. I’m just a big, silly goofball who loves to make people smile!
I have lots of energy and a true hound nose! I love running around the yard with my nose to the ground, following every interesting scent. Exploring, tracking smells, and satisfying my curiosity make me very happy!
Right now, I live at Pawmetto Lifeline’s shelter. I’m learning about soft blankets, toys, regular meals, and what it feels like to be loved. Each day gets better, and I can’t wait to see how good life will be with a forever family of my own!
Ideal Home
I would love to meet your dog if they like to play! A home without cats is probably best for me, since my hound instincts make me a little too excited around them.
Ongoing Health
I am heartworm positive because I didn’t receive proper care before, but I’ve already started the highly successful slow-kill treatment. Pawmetto Lifeline will cover my treatment until I test negative!
My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you!
