Benson

If sunshine, puppy breath, and pure happiness were rolled into one adorable package, you'd get Benson.

At just 13 weeks old, Benson is already proving he's a pretty smart little guy. He's taking notes from his foster sister, Gidget, and is learning sit, stay, and shake with both hand signals and verbal cues. Benson is doing fantastic with potty training and uses the dog door like a pro. He's a playful pup who enjoys a good game of fetch (though returning the ball is a work in progress!), playing with his foster sister, supervising the backyard from a shady spot, and taking naps in peculiar places. He also loves cuddles and is always happy to curl up for a puppy nap next to his favorite people.

Ongoing Health

Benson has Megaesophagus (MegaE), a condition where the esophagus doesn't move food into the stomach normally, so dogs need to eat and drink in an upright position. He has a very mild case and it's suspected he is outgrowing it.

Training & Support

Benson is learning quickly and is doing well with potty training. He's a smart puppy who is eager to please.
