Misti is a vibrant 3-year-old, 45-lb retriever-type mix with a remarkable story. Her journey from the Bahamas has revealed a dog who is not only healthy and smart but also incredibly athletic and friendly. Despite initial expectations of shyness, Misti has blossomed into a confident and social companion, thanks to excellent care and dedicated training. She's a quick learner, mastering commands like "paw" with ease, and has completed intensive obedience training, further solidifying her impressive skill set. Misti thrives on structure, activity, and engagement, with a particular love for fetch, tug, walks, hikes, and interactive play. Her athleticism and enthusiasm are truly captivating, as seen in her videos!

Ideal Home

Misti would thrive in an active home environment that can provide consistent exercise and structure. Due to her exuberant and playful nature, she would be best suited for a home with older children and teens (16+). Misti has a high prey drive, so she needs a home without cats or small dogs. She has done well with other dogs and might enjoy the company of a playful male canine companion.

Training & Support

Misti is a well-trained dog who has mastered commands such as sit, down, place, heel, recall, and polite door manners. She continues to work on house manners in her foster home. Her prong collar, which she has been successfully introduced to, will go home with her to support her continued training.
