Trixie

Trixie is a sweet, petite lady, about 6 years old and weighing around 40 lbs. She's currently trying to understand why her whole world changed so suddenly. After being surrendered, she found herself in a loud and stressful shelter environment. It's tough to see owner surrenders adjust, going from the comfort of a home to the confusion and noise of a shelter. Trixie is a bit scared right now and lets out a squeaky little bark when approached, but she is not mean or bad, just unsure. She's allowing volunteers to take her for walks, and we truly believe that with time to decompress in a quiet, patient home, she'll be able to breathe again and start to thrive. She just needs one special person to show her she's safe now.

Ideal Home

Trixie would do best in a calm environment where she can slowly build trust and feel secure. A patient adopter who understands she needs time to adjust is key.

Trixie is vaccinated.

Training & Support

Trixie is not yet house-trained. She is unsure when approached and barks out of uncertainty, not aggression. Patience and gentle encouragement will help her build confidence.
