Buddy is a charming, year-old Yorkie mix who came to us as a surrender. He's been vet-checked, neutered, and is up-to-date on all his vaccinations. Buddy is a sweet boy who enjoys human companionship and gets along well with other dogs. However, he has shown some reactivity towards cats, so a feline-free home would be ideal.
When Buddy first arrived, he was a bit underweight and scruffy, but with the love and care of his foster, he's blossoming and ready to find his forever family. He's a lap-sized companion weighing just under 15 pounds, perfect for snuggling.
Ideal Home
Buddy would thrive in a home where he can be the center of attention. He is not a fan of crates and is likely to be too vocal for apartment living. He’d love a quiet home where he can bond with his person and keep a close eye on things. Due to his past experiences, Buddy requires a patient adopter. He has shown some challenging behaviors, including nipping at his foster, and we are offering an extended trial adoption for the right person willing to give him a chance.
Ongoing Health
Buddy has been fully vetted, neutered, and is up-to-date on all his vaccinations.
Training & Support
Buddy can be a challenging dog and has bitten at his foster. He is also leash reactive; while he's friendly with dogs he meets in person, he lunges and attempts to engage other dogs when on a leash. We recommend a 2-week shutdown period for Buddy to decompress and adjust to his new environment. He also appears to be a bit of a barker when on leash. We offer a $60 rebate for completing positive-based training classes.
