Apollo is a sweet 3-year-old, 51lb boy who is in urgent need of a medical foster or adopter. He was found abandoned and brought to us by an APS officer, but despite his difficult start, Apollo has been nothing but friendly and loving towards everyone he meets. He has also shown a positive history with other dogs.
Apollo was diagnosed with distemper virus and needs to leave the shelter as soon as possible to begin his recovery in a calm and supportive environment. His recovery is expected to take approximately three months. Distemper is not contagious to adult, fully vaccinated dogs, so many homes could be a great fit! A medical foster provides a quiet space and comfort, with medical guidance and support from our shelter team. Apollo is not currently showing any concerning symptoms or requiring medication. We will provide foster team support and PACC Clinic will provide care. Donated supplies will be given to fosters, and fosters have first dibs on adoption.

A calm and quiet home would be ideal for Apollo to focus on his recovery.
