Gunner from TEXAS

Gunner is a handsome 3-year-old, 50-pound black and tan hound mix with a heart of gold. He was rescued from a rural shelter and is ready to find his forever family. Gunner is a true couch potato at heart, preferring to snooze in the cool air conditioning during hot Texas days. He's a social butterfly who loves playing with other dogs and enjoys plenty of human attention and petting. He's also a toy and treat enthusiast!

Ongoing Health

Gunner is neutered, tattooed, and fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. He has been treated for heartworms and is now heartworm-negative. He receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention.

Training & Support

Gunner is crate-trained and comes when called. He also walks well on a leash, enjoys car rides, and is good with baths. However, he does get excited by squirrels and will bark at passersby and other animals. He also has a knack for counter-surfing and has been known to raid the garbage if cabinets aren't secured.
