Johnny Cash is a handsome 2-year-old, 52-pound Sheltie/Heeler mix who spent too long waiting in a rural shelter before finding his way to us. He's a smart, loyal, and eager-to-bond boy with a playful and adventurous spirit. Johnny Cash loves being outdoors, enjoys long walks, and wants to be part of whatever his people are doing. He also has a softer side and is happy to curl up for some quality couch time. Despite his past, he's not a "project dog" – he's simply a dog who deserves a loving home.

Ideal Home

Johnny Cash would thrive in a home where he can be part of the family's activities and receive plenty of affection. Due to his prey drive, he cannot be placed in a home with cats or free-ranging chickens.

Johnny Cash is neutered. He has shown some anxiety surrounding vehicles, likely due to past experiences. We recommend he travel safely secured in a crate or kennel.
